I'm driving a Range Rover Sport. It has a vent for your crotch. What else needs to be said?

Instant classic, should be standard equipment on every car.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 09:47 |

It should legally required.

For a moment I thought it said "crotch event" on the picture. Whoops.

AW11s came with a crotch vent for the passenger.

Fill it with flour.

Used to be common on GM cars...you can see it thru the wheel of this 1970 Bonneville...

For your balls.

Except thank you?

Next best thing to cooled/ventilated seats.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 09:55 |

Yes, that is correct.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 09:56 |

I actually don't like cooled seats. Feels weird.

Range Rover figured that since they can't fix their reliability issue, they might as well add a feature to make their customers happy by blowing (at) them, while they wait for a tow truck.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 10:05 |

Except that 2 weeks after you buy it it will fail and start blowing hotter air there. Good feature if you could keep it working though

My dads '99 Tahoe had one of those.. I have a strange feeling that was a selling point to a lot of the guys that bought them.

PFFTTT. My '88 Cherokee had one of these - ball vent is located behind the steering wheel in pic.

crotch vent all the things. Seems every car needs these!
![]() 02/13/2015 at 10:23 |

Ball vent or... balls vent?
![]() 02/13/2015 at 10:24 |

brb designing crotch vent for project

Ah, mixing valve failures. So fun in a *black* Benz in Atlanta (not mine, opponaut KusabiSensei's).

Balls vent is too clunky for conversation. Ball vent rolls off the tongue better.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 10:34 |
|
But what if you're talking about a ball vent that's not for balls? Or a balls vent that isn't a ball? Or an underseat vent for underballs that isn't under a ball vent under the seat?

Too much ball talk this early in the morning.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 10:44 |

I bet it does...........
![]() 02/13/2015 at 10:45 |

I had to vent.

Until you've had some serious swamp ass, schwety balls, or a case of some fromunda cheese, you'll think it's the stupidest thing ever. Then you'll love it.
![]() 02/13/2015 at 11:03 |

And when the electrics go bad on your Range Rover seats it just blows smoke up your ass

Yes, I remember that, we had a 89. I think the 84 caravan had one too..

Someday I want to get A/C in my Z, I want to put hoses like in endurance racing that can be put anywhere, I have a dog and I can run one under the seat to the back hatch area too.

W123, king of ball vents.

Truth. Which they changed in later variations for no adequate reason.
